02 Vacuum distillation
Vacuum Charge Heater
The heater raises the temperature of atmospheric residue before it enters the vacuum column. The reduced pressure allows heavy oil fractions to separate at temperatures that limit unwanted thermal cracking.
03 Catalytic reforming
Platforming Reactor Heaters
These heaters warm the feed before it enters the reactor and restore the required temperature between reaction stages. They supply the heat that the predominantly endothermic reforming reactions require.
04 Petrochemicals
Hydrocarbon Pyrolysis Furnace
The furnace heats a mixture of hydrocarbon feed and steam. The hydrocarbons crack in the radiant coils to produce ethylene, propylene and other petrochemical products.
05 Base oil production
Vacuum Heater for Base Oil Production
The heater warms heavy oil feedstock before it enters the vacuum distillation column. At reduced pressure, the feed separates into high-boiling oil fractions while limiting unwanted thermal cracking.
